1. Why MARU AUCTION?
We all are aware that there are a lot of proxy bidders & buyers among us & in this regard MARUAUCTION is making an effort to protect the genuine buyers & bidders against the proxy bidders or buyers. And due to proxy bidders either the genuine bidders can be out bided or the item's price might be simply increased.
2. Can I Bid against myself?
No. As long as you have logged in under the same user name, Maruauction knows who you are & any bid you place will not be against your own bid.
3. What are the minimum system requirements?
OS: Windows XP/Vista/2007, Mac OSX, Linux.
Web Browser: IE 6.0+, Mozilla Firefox 2.0+, Google Chrome, Safari.
Internet Connection: Dialup 56Kbps or preferably High Speed Broadband to be more fast & accurate on the website.
Users with Windows: To use Internet Explorer, make sure you are connected to the Internet, either through a high speed connection or any dial-up functionality. Once connected, you can launch Internet Explorer by clicking on the "Start" button in your task bar, selecting "all programs", and selecting Internet Explorer from the resulting list. Paste or type "www.maruauction.com" into the address bar.
4. Can I quickly view the lot(s) I am interested in?
Yes. You can enter the lot number you are interested in the box titled, "Go to Lot:" and press the "Go" button and you will be taken directly to the lot.
5. What does "My Watch List/My Bid List" do?
My Watch List - shows the items you are watching currently.
My Bid List - shows items on which you are bidding.
6. What does the "Realized Prices" do?
"Realized Prices" shows the auctions' results. It lets you see what items are sold & what items are still available for auction.
7. I lost the lot to a bidder who had bid the same amount. Why?
If a bidder has placed a bid higher or equal to your bid, they will win the lot due to the fact their bid was an earlier bid and have the prior bid.
8. Have I won the lot? How do I know that?
When the auction for a particular lot closes it will indicate in green you have won or you can also check on the "Realized Prices" tab. You will also be notified via message or email.
9. I am in the middle of bidding & I need help, what can I do?
If you have any questions or concern & need to communicate immediately you can click on the "Live Support" button at the top let corner of your page & a chat window would pop up. You can type your questions there.
10. Can I withdraw or cancel my bid?
In some situations, a bid may be withdrawn (cancelled). In order to withdraw your bid, it must meet a few requirements.
Why do you want to withdraw your bid?
When the bid was placed & when did the lot close?
You can also withdraw your bid for the following reasons:
In case you make a typo error i.e., you enter wrong bid amount. For example, instead of entering Rs. 500 you have entered Rs. 5000 then you can immediately withdraw your bid & enter a corrected bid amount. (Changing your mind is not considered as typo error).
11. How can I go through the lots & its images during the auction?
You can browse through the lots & images simply by placing the cursor on the "CATEGORY" section & choosing the appropriate sub category.
12. What if a bidder defaults & fails to pay for any item?
In case a Winning Bidder fails to pay the amounts for the lot(s) that he has won, the Auctioneer reserves the right to sell the lot(s) to any other bidder in the Auction or relist the lot(s) in the future auctions conducted by Auctioneer.
Also the Bidder's Membership fee will be forfeited & she/he will be Black Listed.
13. I want to consign my items in the auction. Do I need to pay any commission for selling my item?
Yes. You will need to pay 10% of the actual selling price as the commission in case your item is sold on our auction.
14. I am buyer. Do I need to pay any commission?
Yes. You have to pay "Buyer's Premium" 11.36% (including service tax) on the closing price of the Lot. Also you will have to pay the VAT*, shipping charges & the insurance** charges for the lot(s) won.
